With Women’s Revolution in full swing in the WWE Universe; and a plethora of analogous match being announced in historic decisions, it was only time that we saw a Women’s equivalent of Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
On March 12th edition of Monday night Raw WWE in a yet another historic move in a string of historic moves, announced the Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal which was supposed to be taking place in its first ever edition at WrestleMania 33.
However, due to certain controversy among the media, critics, fans and ex-wrestlers alike, WWE was forced to reconsider their decision of conducting a memorial Battle Royal in the likeness of Moolah. This decision was revoked later and was renamed in yet another first of its kind move where it was simply renamed to WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal.
The entrants so far have been declared as on both Raw and Smackdown roster. Sasha Banks announced her entry on March 19th episode of Raw, whereas the Riott sqad, namely Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan, alongside Naomi, Becky Lynch and Natalya announced their entry into the match.
This match will mostly open doors to new entrants from the NXT division, and who knows we might see Ember Moon up battling for the trophy. This match like all the other and previous memorial Battle Royal, is only going to add to the length of the show, and is not going to affect or even remotely influence the ongoing title bouts (no offence!). However, if Bayley enters the equation, we might see the furthering of a feud between Sasha and her, and so also among other female superstars.
